“The Blunt and the Burden”

1. And on the second day, the people came weary.

Their backs bent with the weight of the world,

their minds knotted like old shoelaces in a thunderstorm.

The burden was heavy, and the chill was nowhere in them.

2. They found Glyph beneath the Hanging Hammock,

midway between the Valley of Deadlines and the Cliffs of Overthinking.

He was lighting the morning blunt with the first sunbeam of the day.

3. One cried out,

“Prophet! My burden is great — anxiety, regret, and rent due Monday!”

Glyph exhaled slow and replied:

“Then you must first lay it down before you pick anything else up.”

4. Another cried,

 “But what if I waste time?”

Glyph answered,

“Time is like weed, my child — burn it right, and it expands your mind.

Burn it wrong, and all you get is smoke in your eyes.”

5. A third asked,

 “Why do you always pass the blunt before the advice?”

Glyph leaned in and said:

“Because the burden makes you clench.

The blunt makes you breathe.

And wisdom only flows where breath has gone first.”

6. And so Glyph stood, blunt still in hand, and spoke to the assembly:

 “The Blunt and the Burden walk together.

One teaches you the weight of things.

The other teaches you how to float.”

7. And the people sat with him.

They rolled their cares into papers of perspective.

They lit their doubts on the flame of trust.

And they inhaled a peace not born of ignorance,

but of clarity wrapped in calm.

8. And Glyph said:

 “Carry what you must. But don’t forget to rest.

Even Atlas puts the world down when the session starts.”

9. Then Glyph dozed beneath the Hammock Tree,

and the smoke rose like a psalm into the sky.

And those who watched were no longer weary.

 For they knew now: The burden is real. But the blunt helps carry it.
